Feathers!

These are the most recent feather earrings I've made. I love wearing feathers because they really go well with my wardrobe any time of the year. Be sure to check out my Etsy shop if you'd like a pair of your own!

DIY: Easy Tribal Nails

These tribal nails are so fun and simple- all you need is a toothpick to paint on the designs!
I used Nina Ultra Pro's Punki Purple for my main color and Sally Hansen's White On for the base on my accent nail.
Play around with colors and different patterns!

Sparkly Wrap Bracelet DIY

These bracelets are so pretty and surprisingly easy to make! The extra braid allows you to loosely tie them on and take them off easily, even with one hand.

You will need:
A crystal (or pearl) chain
Embroidery Floss

Step 1: Cut six 28 inch pieces of embroidery floss. Tie the ends together, separate into 3 groups of 2 and braid all the way down the entire length.

Step 2: Tie a knot behind the first crystal (or pearl) leaving a 2 inch tail on the end (this is what you'll use to tie the bracelet on).

Step 3: Wrap the braid twice around each pearl all the way to the last one.

Step 4: Tie a knot around the last pearl like you did in step 2. Leave a 2 inch tail. Tie off the braid and cut any extra embroidery floss.

Colorful Christmas Lights Nails

I thought I'd go ahead and post the Christmas nails I painted last year. These were a big hit and so much fun to do but they were quite time consuming so be sure you have an hour or so if you plan to do them!

I painted my nails with 2 coats of white polish. Then I dipped a small paint brush* into my black polish and painted the wires for my lights. I used the head of a pin and a variety of bright colors to create the light bulbs. Then I used the same small paint brush and the white polish to create the highlights on the light bulbs. I finished by dabbing some gold sparkly polish on the empty white spaces on my nails.

*(I never buy the polishes that are specifically for nail art that have skinny brushes. I always use my own nail polishes and just paint with tiny paint brushes from a craft store. I find that I have more control using paint brushes over nail art polishes; and it's cheaper because you can use all the colors you already have!)
